Hello and Welcome!
Welcome to Creative Culinary Adventures, where I will share not just delicious recipes, but the story of how they were made! My goal is to create recipes that are attainable and enjoyable to cook, and stories that are interesting and engaging, and possibly even inspire people to get creative with their own cooking!
I have been following recipes all of my life, and have slowly began experimenting with recipes of my own in the past few years. I did not fully realize what cooking could be until I visited a family friend over the summer, who creates fantastic food quickly and without the aid of a recipe. As I create more recipes for this blog, I hope to improve my confidence and instincts so that I can create meals as delicious as hers.
Because I am always frustrated when it takes me twice as long to make a recipe as the prep time listed suggests, I will do my best to ensure that the prep time listed on my recipes is an accurate reflection of how long it will take someone to make a recipe the first time they try it. I am not the fastest cook, but because I have more experience with the recipes I am cooking, I will include the time it took me to photograph the recipe, which also means pausing to wipe off the counter twice as often as I usually would. In addition, I will do my best to eliminate "hidden time," and will always include the time to chop vegetables in a recipe, instead of listing them as chopped in the ingredients list.
